South African Ambassador, Dr Lindiwe Msengana-Ndlela participated in the 2nd Greek Youth Diaspora Symposium

The South African Ambassador, Dr Lindiwe Msengana-Ndlela participated in the 2nd Greek Youth Diaspora Symposium that was addressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency, Mr George Gerapetritis on 25 November 2025. He was accompanied by the Deputy Minister, Mr Ionnnis Loverdos and the Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy.
Among the Hellenes who came from 31 countries, were delegates who travelled from South Africa to attend the week's Symposium in Greece.
In her remarks, Ambassador Msengana-Ndlela applauded the Hellenic Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for this novel initiative. She encouraged participants to draw lessons from the immense contributions of Hellenes, such as George Bizos, who later became a life-time friend of Nelson Mandela and the sterling achievements of institutions such the South African Hellenic Education and Training Institute (SAHETI) in Johannesburg.
The Ambassador concluded that the participation of young people in such initiatives are important foundations in strengthening people-to-people relations between the Hellenic Republic and South Africa currently and for future generations.
