The awardees are not only collectors but also inheritors and innovators of Jun porcelain culture, contributing tirelessly to its preservation and growth. They embody the spirit of selfless dedication and innovation, inspiring future generations to cherish and advance the art.

Looking Ahead: Jun Porcelain on the World Stage
At the gathering, discussions centered on new opportunities for the Jun porcelain cultural industry, both domestically and internationally. Participants proposed the “Jun Porcelain Art Walking in the World” tour exhibition, aimed at expanding global appreciation of Jun porcelain and elevating Xuchang’s cultural identity.

Mr. Zhang Songyang, vice president and secretary-general of the China Jun Porcelain Collectors Association, remarked:
“Golden autumn is the harvest season, but also the season of sowing. Through a year of careful selection, we have honored the most representative Jun porcelain collectors nationwide. Their lives have grown alongside the People’s Republic of China, reflecting the wisdom and hard work of a generation. The glory they have earned today lights the flame for the next generation to carry forward Jun porcelain culture.”
Several collectors expressed heartfelt gratitude to President Wang Fangzhou and the Xuchang local government for giving Jun porcelain renewed vitality and cultural value. They voiced hopes that younger generations would continue to tell the story of Jun porcelain and contribute to local economic development.

Mr. Wang Zhongquan, executive vice president of the China Jun Porcelain Collectors Association, emphasized:
“Jun porcelain is a ‘Chinese symbol’ written with fire and soil. Originating in the Tang Dynasty and flourishing in the Song Dynasty, its kiln transformation art — ‘one color into the kiln, ten thousand colors out of the kiln’ — is unique in the world. Collecting is both a dialogue with history and a dialogue with the soul. Today’s collectors play a vital role in a virtuous circle of production, collection, research, and reproduction, driving rural revitalization and the integration of culture and tourism.”
He noted that the Lifetime Achievement Award is not only a personal honor but also a torch for the entire Jun porcelain ecosystem, urging collectors to inspire more young people to embrace the motto: “Collecting Jun, researching Jun, loving Jun.”

New Leadership and Recognition
In recognition of his contributions, Comrade Chen Wu was unanimously elected as vice president of the Association. He expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and pledged to make new breakthroughs, learn from senior collectors, and further advance the cause of Jun porcelain.

Jun Porcelain in Cultural Diplomacy
Jun porcelain has also served as a bridge in cultural exchanges between nations. In 2024, the former president of South Africa and his wife received a national gift of Jun porcelain during their visit to China, presented by Professor Zheng Yongbiao, editor-in-chief of the China Liaison Office of the South African Diplomatic Society. The couple admired the artistry and symbolism, underscoring Jun porcelain’s potential as a global cultural ambassador.

Xuchang’s Cultural Business Card
From the perspective of socio-economic development, a city’s cultural brand serves as its “business card.” For Xuchang, the Jun Porcelain Cultural Tourism Festival stands alongside global cultural icons such as Broadway in the United States and Germany’s Oktoberfest.
