Celebrating Singapore's Diamond Jubilee

Zainal Arif Mantaha, High Commissioner of Singapore to South Africa, and Jennifer Cheng hosted a vibrant celebration to commemorate SG60 – the diamond jubilee of Singapore.

South Africa’s Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Maropene Ramokgopa, delivered congratulatory remarks.

The BabaHouse@za precinct came alive with the iconic Singaporean hawker culture which was inscibed on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2020, offering guests a feast of Malay, Indian, Chinese, and Peranakan delicacies. 

Tshwane Gospel Choir had the crowd on their feet, dancing and celebrating six decades of Singapore’s progress, unity and friendship with South Africa.
