Freedom Day celebrations in Czech Republic

South Africa and Czech Republic are making strides in cementing their bilateral relations that were forged long before 1994. Historically, Czech Republic supported people of South Africa in all facets of the struggle in their quest for freedom during the difficult days of apartheid.

As the Embassy hosted South Africa’s National Day, it was overwhelmed by support it received from the Diplomatic Community, Czech Community, Business Community and members of Africa Diaspora based in the country. Special vote of thanks should also go to the South African Students who are studying in the country by contributing cultural items especially singing the National Anthems of both countries so perfectly well.
