The exclusive wine tasting of French and South African wines and culinary experience was presented by the world’s best sommelier (1992), Philippe Faure-Brac and French Michelin-star chef Vincent Lucas.

This event paved the way for the fourth edition of Goût de/Good France that will take place globally between 19 and 25 March 2018, with over 2000 restaurants in 150 countries participating to celebrate French gastronomy and French art de vivre.

The participating #GoodFrance restaurants are:

- Johannesburg: SA Culinary Club, Radisson Blu Sandton, Four Seasons The Westcliff, Les Délices de France and Le Saint Tropez (all JHB).
- Pretoria: Leriba Hotel, Court Classique Suite Hotel, Brasserie de Paris, EAT@UP (University of Pretoria) and Prue Leith Restaurant

Western Cape:

This event, started by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development and chef Alain Ducasse, is inspired by Auguste Escoffier, who launched the Dîners d’Épicure initiative in 1912: the same menu, on the same day, in several world cities, for as many guests as possible.
