Ambassador of Tunisia to the Maldives Presents Credentials

The new Ambassador of Tunisia to the Maldives, Mr. Tarek Azouz, has presented his credentials to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom of the Maldives.
At the ceremony held at the President’s Office to present the credentials, President Yameen congratulated Ambassador Azouz on the commencement of his term. Following the ceremony, the President expressed his confidence that relations between the two countries would be further strengthened during the tenure of Ambassador Azouz.
Underscoring the commonalities between the Maldives and Tunisia as emerging democracies, President Yameen and Ambassador Azouz explored avenues for further cooperation ?between the two countries, especially in representing their needs on the global stage.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Dunya Maumoon, and Minister at the President’s Office, Hon. Mohamed Hussain Shareef.
