DS: Last country where you were based before coming to South Africa

HE: Before my appointment to South Africa, I was the Deputy Head of Mission at the Kenya Mission in Washington DC.

DS: Most interesting place in South Africa

HE: I have visited many interesting places in South Africa, however the most fascinating are the towns and landscapes along the garden route. In addition, I have enjoyed my visits to the winefields in the Western Cape which have been memorable.

DS: Your impression about South Africa in 3 words

HE: Beautiful, Fascinating and Addictive.

DS: One place you would like to be posted to or visit

HE: Italy

DS: Most memorable appointment thus far

HE: Washington DC. This was my first diplomatic assignment.

DS: Most challenging situation that you had to handle thus far

HE: Preparing for a Presidential state visit while exciting, presents numerous challenges.

DS: My inspiration is/comes from.

HE: My family, inspires me and keeps me motivated and grounded.

DS: Place in your country that you love to visit.

HE: The coastal town of Malindi, one of the most beautiful coastal towns in Kenya.

HE: Bali, Indonesia.

DS: Favourite dish of your country

HE:  Nyama Choma (Grilled meat) with Ugali (pap) and Sukuma wiki (Greens).

HE: Jollof rice with grilled plantain and red red (beans) from Ghana

DSThe best book I have ever read.

HE: Some of the three best books I have read include:
            Ama Ata Aidoo, Changes A love story  
            Maya Angelou, The Heart of a Woman  
            Iyanla Vanzant, Yesterday I cried

DS: At the moment I am reading

HE: Trevor Noah: Born a Crime and Micheal Wolff: Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House

DS: I spend my leisure time

HE: Playing golf, working out at the gym, yoga, reading and socialising.
