Self Employed - The business of carnival
 Mixing business and pleasure is Trinidad and Tobago's contribution to South South relations. The strengthening of relations with the countries of the South is one of the priority mandates for Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar of the two-island Carribean nation.
At a breakfast business meeting in Johannesburg hosted by the High Commission of Trinidad and Tobago and the Local Municipality of Bela Bela, the business of Carnival was examined. High Commissioner Harry Partap of Trinidad and Tobago to South Africa introduced the various stakeholders and informed the audience that an agreement on art and culture is about to be concluded.
Councillor Fred Hlongwane, Mayor of Bela Bela, the city of the hot springs, has invited all 'Carnivalists' to the Bela Bela Mas Feeva Carnival at the Bela Bela Waterfront in Limpopo on 1 December 2012. The Carnival begins at 3pm.
Various presentations highlighted the potential for an opportunity to create self employment and the innovation required to make it sustainable. Food, beverages, hospitality, catering and other skills of the creative industries encompassing design, music and technical know-how are examples of some of the entrepreunerial opportunities created. The creative industries are ranked the second highest generator of earnings and is top among the employment creation sectors.
The work of art has many rewards and sometimes it just takes a moment of genius to make a positive, indelible impact on humankind.

Trade Tariffs a concern for Turkish business
 Ambassador Kaan Esner of Turkey to South Africa hosted Turkish business in South Africa at his residence in Pretoria to exchange views and share experiences. About 90 business people representing numerous sectors expressed their main concern about tariffs and are studying the possiblity of a Free Trade Agreement with South Africa. Current trade between the two countries is estimated to be around $2billion US. The Maldives business climate maintains optimism

The Indian Ocean islands of Maldives is an amazing country to visit for its contrasts, high cultural interest and for its extraordinary scenic beauty. The double chain of twenty six natural ring-like atolls stretching in a north-south direction off India’s Lakshadweep islands is situated 500km from the Southern tip of both Sri Lanka and India and comprises 1190 coral islands.
The country, with a population of nearly 330,000, still remains one of the smallest independent nations in Asia. The people of the islands are widely dispersed across the atolls, in about 200 inhabited islands. The 1.77 square km. capital city Male is located at the southern edge of North Male Atoll, known as Kaafu Atoll. One third of the country’s population is located in this island.   Read More
