CONVERGENCE OF REGIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE PLANS BODE WELL FOR BUSINESSES EXPANDING INTO AFRICA
The world is looking to Africa as its next investment and growth frontier, but in order to secure growth, Africa needs infrastructure that can support business development across the continent. If regional integration in infrastructure projects is not prioritised, Africa will lose out at this critical time that the world is looking for alternative investment destinations.

 Ambassador of Italy, H.E. Mr Vincenzo Schioppa hosted his first National Day reception in South Africa on 4 June 2012. In his remarks at the reception Ambassador Schioppa said, "I want to see more Italy in South Africa, and, working together with my colleague and friend Ambassador Mtintso in Rome, more South Africa in Italy. Australia - Africa Regional Diplomatic Training Initiative

The initiative seeks to develop the skills of the participants as diplomats and enhance the capacity of their home agencies upon their return. Participating countries this year include Angola, Burkina Faso, Republic of Congo, Togo, Central African Republic, Mauritania, the DRC, Niger, Djibouti, Cape Verde, Burundi, Sao Tome & Principe, Guinea, the Comores, and Chad.
Young South African Musicians to perform at Europe's Major Festivals
MIAGI (Music is a Great Investment), renowned for its incredible dedication in developing young South African musicianship, is sending over 90 young South African orchestral musicians to Germany and Austria for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform on a 16 day tour of some of the most prestigious and major European summer festivals.
Africa’s tallest building to be constructed in the heart of TshwaneTshwane, the largest metropole in South Africa and the third-largest municipality in the world, is home to 132 embassies and four universities. According to Councillor Kgosientso Ramokgopa, Executive Mayor of the City of Tshwane, speaking to delegates at a Tshwane International Trade and Infrastructure Investment Conference (TITIIC) networking session, timing has never been more appropriate to leverage the economy that Tshwane is contributing towards South Africa’s growth. He said that the tallest tower will reach an immense 110 storeys, and will be flanked by two towers of 80 and 60 floors. The total height of the tallest tower will be 447 metres.
FOOTBALL - A DRIVING FORCE FOR EDUCATION - DIAMBARS

 South African Ambassador Beryl Rose Sisulu in Norway with Jimmy Adjovi-Boco, Director of DiambarsThe former football teammates (Lille and RC Lens, France) dreamt of using football as a tool for educating children in Africa. Together they founded Diambars, which means “champions” in Senegalese, in 2000. French junior international Saer Seck and French football star Patrick Vieira soon joined the Diambars organization, which has proved to be a huge success and given inspiration to thousands of disadvantaged children in Africa. In cooperation with UNESCO, Diambars develops education-through-sport institutes and organises awareness campaigns and educational programmes to promote academic and vocational training.
