Motsei explaining the concept of the Art of Collaboration said, "In this VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) world that we are living in, individuals and organisations are faced with the same challenges. Organisations are expected to deliver on their key performances, despite challenges such as terrorism, unemployment, poverty and famine. Collaboration is an art and science that can be used by organisations, individuals and government institutions in order to address some of the identified challenges faced by communities at large.
The upcoming seminar on "The Art of Collaboration" is aimed at helping all stakeholders to achieve the National Development Plan of positioning humanity at another level, as well as give them an opportunity to learn from each other on how collaboration has contributed to the success of their respective institutions. Furthermore, it will help in establishing new networks to overcome other environmental challenges."
Kirtan Bhana of The Diplomatic Society said that the media platform that is Foreign Exchange, The Diplomatic Society publication will reach a milestone of 20 years of operation. In 1997 when the publication was launched, Minister Alfred Nzo ushered in a new era in international relations for South Africa. This year also commemorates the 100 Years of Oliver Reginald Tambo who as a struggle icon managed to establish more missions around the world than the South African apartheid regime at that time.
