 South Africa and Rwanda have recommitted to revamp the bilateral relations, re-assess weak points and optimize on our legendary sisterhood to explore more opportunities for cooperation and trade and more strategic ways to move together and with other Africans the African Agenda 2063
 48 years ago, on August 8, 1967, the Bangkok Declaration brought together the peoples of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand under the common ideals of cooperation, amity and non-interference. Today, that family of nations has since expanded into 10 countries, with Brunei Darussalam, Viet Nam, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia, cultivating an aggrupation of cultures and traditions that is now uniquely characterized as the “ASEAN Way”. The “ASEAN Way”, to put it simply, is a unique outlook on life. It is founded on respect for the various cultural norms in Southeast Asia, requiring skilful use of compromise, consensus and consultation to address challenges and issues. It is informal and personal, and tends to bring people closer together, rather than alienate each other. The “ASEAN Way” also allows ASEAN to communicate with each other much like a closely-knit family does, quietly and in confidence.

Pakistan Independence Day

High Commissioner of Pakistan H.E. Najm us Saqib hoisted the national flag with the playing of the national anthem. Messages of the President and the Prime Minister were read out on the occasion. Special milli naghmey were sung; Azadi cake was cut; and speeches on Azadi were delivered with focus on building a strong Pakistan.
The Week of Liberators, carried out from Friday 24 of July was the 232nd anniversary of the birth of the Liberator Simon Bolivar and on 28 July the 61st anniversary of the Commander Hugo Chavez. The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of South Africa started the activities with a floral tribute at the bust of the Liberator Bolivar under the slogan "Sowing of the seeds of love, we reap the Homeland".
The intention of creating a programme of cultural, sports and educational activities from the 24 to 31 July was to celebrate the birthdays of the Liberator Simon Bolivar (24 July 1783) and of the Commander Hugo Chavez (28 July 1954). It is also in tribute to "the beloved South African leader Nelson Mandela, who would have reached his 97th anniversary July 18, explained . Ambassador Mairin Moreno.
