 The South African exclusive 3D premiere of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies was hosted by The New Zealand High Commission in Pretoria, Warner Bros. Pictures and Times Media Films in spectacular style at Montecasino in Johannesburg on 10 December 2014.
Welcoming a glamorous audience to the event New Zealand High Commissioner Richard Mann said that the New Zealand High Commission is proud to play a part in this final chapter of The Hobbit. Sir Peter Jackson's work which not only pays tribute to the rich imagination of author JRR Tolkien, who was born in Bloemfontein, but it also showcases New Zealand as a stunning location to make films.

 The Australian Trade Commission in Johannesburg launched the Match Australia business networking program for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, hosted by Australia and New Zealand.Match Australia is the Australian Government’s International Sports Business Program, created to connect Australian businesses with global partners through major sporting events.During the ICC World Cup (14 February-29 March 2015) Match Australia will promote Australian capability and enhance business opportunities across trade, investment, education and tourism with India.
The Match Australia - ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 program was launched at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium in the presence of the Australian Chargè d’Affaires to South Africa, Mr Chris Munn, the New Zealand High Commissioner, HE Richard Mann, Australian Senior Trade Commissioner, John Madew and senior South African cricket dignitaries.

On December 12 we commemorate the memory of the great National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Alirza oglu Aliyev. He passed away 11 years ago, in 2003, at the age of 80. Heydar Alirza oglu Aliyev was born on 10 May 1923 in Nakhichevan City of Azerbaijan. He worked in high ranking positions in the Soviet government for many years, before he had to resign from his post in the Kremlin due to pressure exerted by Gorbachev, then the Secretary General of the Communist Party.
Ambassador Kaan Esener of Turkey together with Professor Nkiwane, one of the Board Members of Youthzones, donated a total of 100 football kits to young footballers supported by Youthzones.
