 Mr Pradeep Kumar Shrestha, The Honorary Consul of South Africa to Nepal and H.E. Geoff Doidge High Commissioner of the Republic of South Africa
The Honorary Consul of South Africa is Mr Pradeep Shrestha and he has received an award for his contribution to the FICAC (International Federation of Consular Associations) at a function held in Colombo on 12 August 2013. The relationship with Nepal is in its growing stages. South Africa has identified the current potential in Nepal especially building up its political stance by sharing the experiences of TRC (Truth & Reconciliation Commission) and beyond.
On bilateral trade opportunities in the mining, travel and tourism and niche market products and breweries such as brandy are products & services thate both countries could trade.

SA Singapore relations strong
 H.E. H. F Ngubeni, High Commissioner of South Africa to Singapore
South Africa and Singapore enjoy strong and excellent bilateral relations, based on Commonwealth ties, and share friendly engagements on a number of issues. Both countries established diplomatic relations in 1992. A number of high level visits have been exchanged between the two countries since then. The High Commission of South Africa in Singapore aims to broaden the relationship between South Africa and Singapore by encouraging and supporting contacts and increasing links between the two countries at people-to-people level and with institutions.
H.E. H. F Ngubeni is the present High Commissioner of South Africa to Singapore. She strives to further deepen and widen the cooperation in a number of areas of investment, trade and tourism and wants to promote South Africa, as an up-coming tourist destination in Singapore.

 The 46th Anniversary of ASEAN was celebrated in Pretoria on 9 September 2011. In his remarks as Chair of the ASEAN Pretoria Committee Ambassador Sjahril Sabaruddin said, "Through our perseverance and commitment, we are strengthening our affinity and becoming a real family of nations in an ASEAN Community. As any family would, ASEAN has had its share of internal and external challenges. In spite of these, ASEAN has been able to demonstrate the strength and resilience that lie at our core. Our unshakeable faith and belief in ASEAN made us more united in the face of these challenges.
It is appropriate that the theme for ASEAN this year highlights “Our People, Our Future Together”. At its essence, ASEAN is really about the ASEAN peoples building a Community and a future together. ASEAN Day reminds us of the dream that we are now turning into reality."
2020 Tokyo Olympics
Ambassador Yutaka Yoshizawa of Japan to South Africa said Judo was first introduced as an Olympic sport in 1964 when Tokyo first hosted the Olympics. He was speaking at a martial arts demonstration held at the University of Pretoria in South Africa on September 6.
Ambassador Yoshizawa also pointed out that the Rugby World Cup will be held in Japan in 2019.
The Martial Arts demonstration coincided with a donation of judo tatami mats and other judo related items to the value of R6.6 million to Judo South Africa (JSA).
Tokyo, Japan was announced as the host for the 2020 Olympics at the International Olympic Committee meeting held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
NATIONAL DAY - The Slovak Republic
Mr. Alexander ILAŠČÍK, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic at the celebration of the 21st Anniversary of adopting the Slovak Constitution, the 20th Anniversary of existence of the Slovak Republic after the split of Czechoslovakia at the beginning of 1993 in an exeptionally peaceful way as well as of the 20th Anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations with the Republic of South Africa.
