On 27- 28 July 2022 Imbumba Foundation donated a year’s supply of sanitary towels to 6 schools in the Mpondo Kingdom namely, Mncwati SSS and Mount Zion JSS, Thandabantu JSS in Mbizana and Dumezweni SSS and Ntsikayezwe SSS Ntabankulu. In Mbizana they were welcomed by Mr Clive Noconjo from the Winnie Mandela Municipality, Principals of the recipient schools, members of the governing body amongst others.

Princess Stella Sigcau II had reached out in 2021 to Imbumba Foundation CEO Richard Mabaso requesting for donations to schools in the Mpondo kingdoms. This served as a follow up from that commitment and promise they made after distributing to schools in the Mpondo Kingdom in 2021. This is part of the initiative aiming at investing in the empowerment of the youth in the Mpondo Kingdom.

Other initiatives that have been successfully hosted through Khuthaza Ukufunda Initiative founded by Princess Stella Sigcau include training on computer literacy and 4IR, workshops at schools on child abuse, GBV, child trafficking, dealing with trauma. The maidens will also be schooled in this regard during the Mpondo Reed dance which will take place on 10 September 2022 preceding the Mpondo Culture Heritage Festival at Lwandlolubomvu Great Place, Ntabankulu in June as part of youth Month activities.

Princess Stella Sigcau II also coordinated for learners from Mncwadi SSS and Mt Zion in Mbizana and Ntsikayezwe SSS and Dumezweni SSS in Ntabankulu, teachers and representatives of the school governing body to be part of an educational tour to Freedom Park, where they were received by the CEO Jane Mufamadi.

On 13 June Mt Zion learners received shoes and uniforms from Imbumba Foundation. They were also educated by social development on Child abuse, teenage pregnancy, trauma impact, child trafficking and GBV. Imbumba Foundation has committed itself to donating sanitary towels to various parts of Mpondoland as well as uniforms and school shoes.
