Good morning and greetings to the diplomatic corps, Venezuelans and friends who came to enjoy of the inauguration of the new premise of the embassy with a Photography Exhibition “Hugo Chavez: Precursor of the Multipolar World"

The Supreme Commander and leader of the Bolivarian Revolution raised his voice in favor of the needy and the excluded, and turned the Vanguard Popular Power to the construction of Socialism of the XXI Century.

His decisive vision towards the protection of the humble transcended the borders of the country, travelled around the world seeking alliances and forming bonds between sister nations in order to defend the sovereignty and the fight against all forms of imperialist interference.

Due to this fight Venezuela joined Mercosur, we buried the ALCA and the ALBA was born. The CELAC and UNASUR was founded, and various organizations that had little weight or were suppressed by groups of heigher power strengthened. Those group´s actions were oppressing the poorest countries. We must highlight the strategic vision of Commander Chavez by achieving the relaunching and strengthening of the OPEC, allowing the producing countries the possibility to set a fair price for oil.

He also created bonds of brotherhood and friendship with Latin American, Asian, Arab and European leaders who, as the Venezuelans, lamented the departure of this giant and recognize that he planted the seeds of freedom, justice and world peace.

As a tribute to the nine months of the physical departure of the Supreme Commander, a selection of photographs from the archives of the Venezuelan News Agency and the Directorate of Presidential Press photography will be exhibited.

These represent a small but significant sample of what this extraordinary man achieved in his lifetime and also depicts his great legacy: to be a precursor of a multipolar word.

That is why Chavez will live forever!
