Azerbaijan donates books to the National Library of South Africa

The Ambassador of Azerbaijan, Mr. Elkhan Polukhov donated books to the National Library of South Africa. An exhibition dedicated to the 90th Anniversary of Heydar Aliyev was also on display at the library.

Also present were South African students who travelled to Azerbaijan and published a travelogue of the journey. The students won an essay competition of an all expenses paid trip to Azerbaijan. The book is about their experince of the country. An initiative of the Friends of Azerbaijan in South Africa, the book was sponsored by Paramount Group.

The books donated to the National Library of South Africa will form part of the National Library collections in the Foreign Official Publications section. The National Library of South Africa's Foreign Official Publications collection in Pretoria is a specialised and extensive collection of documents published by international organisations. The collection is available to all library users, both nationally and internationally.
