Tshwane and Kingston

The Mayors of the cities of Tshwane, South Africa and Kingston, Jamaica met in South Africa to share ideas and knowledge of running the Capital cities of the two countries respectively.
Mayor of Kingston Senator Angela Brown Burke paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Mayor of the City of Tshwane, Councillor Kgosientso Ramokgopa, at his Centurion offices on 10 May 2013.
Senator Brown Burke, is on a transit working visit to the Commonwealth Local Government Summit in Uganda at which the City of Tshwane will be represented by the Speaker of Council, Honourable Councillor Morakane Mosupyoe- Letsholo.

The Mayor of Kingston will be spending three days in Tshwane and will discuss potential cooperation on the issues of Local Economic Development, Housing and Social Development, between the Cities of Kingston and Tshwane.
The Mayors agreed on a process of creating a coopertaion agreement between the two cities.
Senator Brown Burke was accompanied by Councillor Audrey Smith Facey and High Commissioner to South Africa Norma Taylor-Roberts.
