10 000 Scholars benefit from donation of stationery

The DIPLOMATIC & EXECUTIVE NETWORKING CENTRE and its sponsors, in collaboration with publishers of FOREIGN EXCHANGE THE DIPLOMATIC SOCIETY again came to the aid of rural schools in Mpumalanga Province by distributing 10 000 much needed  calendars, piles of stationery and writing pads to needy scholars and teachers at the start of the school year for the second year running.
Executive Mayor of Thembisile Hani Local Municipality, His Worship Ndaweni Johannes Mahlangu, (past Premier of  Mpumalanga Province) together with Dr Peter Verrijdt (President) and Ms Priscilla Shearer (Manager Special Projects) of the Diplomatic & Executive Networking Centre distributed the donations.
The recipients all expressed their heartfelt gratitude to sponsors from the commercial sector and the foreign diplomatic community in South Africa as the donations filled a vital gap in the educational materials required for a successful outcome of the curriculum for each individual scholar.
It is hoped that next year the donations can be increased to assist more scholars in several provinces.
Parties interested in joining this worthy cause by making all kinds of contributions can contact Priscilla at DENC on 012 751 4670
