South African Food and Wine Festival in Bangkok

The South African Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand in collaboration with the Rembrandt Hotel, Emirates Airline and the South African Sandton Sun Hotel hosted a South African Food and Wine Festival from 12 – 21 January 2012.  Held at the Rembrandt hotel, the Food Festival kick started  with an exclusive Gala Dinner on 12 January which was  attended by key people  including hoteliers, those from business, airlines and the media. To mark this event three chefs, led by South Africa  top chef, Nicky Gibbs flew from South Africa in order to cook different South African dishes. The Festival was sponsored by different companies importing South African Wines which were then served to the those who came to enjoy the South African cuisine.
