For decades it has played a key role in further strengthening the economic and diplomatic relations between all the participating countries.

The stand was decorated with posters and tourism promotional material.

The Embassy staff distributed brochures and dealt with trade and tourism enquiries. Under the Embassy stand there were four local importers/agents of South African products.

Ambassador Marthinus van Schalkwyk and the Embassy’s Counsellor, Mr Ahmed Seedat, accompanied by the South African Honorary Consul, Mr Vasilis Takas, attended the opening ceremony inaugurated by the Greek Prime Minister Mr Alexis Tsipras.
