2016 Korea Premium Consumer Goods Showcase

The 2016 Korea Premium Consumer Goods Showcase was held in Cape Town for 2 days from 21st to 22nd of November 2016.

His Excellency, Mr. Yeon Ho CHOI, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to South Africa (pictured) welcomed delegates and emphasized Korea’s commitment to increasing trade and investment between Korea and Africa.

This business-to-business showcase was organised by KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) which is located in Sandton, Johannesburg. The purpose of this event was to introduce quality Korean products to South African and African markets.

There were 19 Korean companies that participated in this showcase. There were a variety of quality Korean products introduced such as health-care, beauty, stationary, food and beverages, tyres and baby products. In addition, more than 70 potential buyers from South Africa and other African countries were invited to the showcase.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea had a special booth entitled “Taste of Korea” which promoted not only quality products of Korean SMEs but also Korean food and culture.
