Thai Nursing Award Conferred on Zimbabwean
A luncheon was hosted by H.E Dr. Pornchai Danvivathana Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand in South Africa in honour Dr. Rose Jaele Ndlovu, a nurse-midwife from Zimbabwe. She was awarded the Princess Srinagarindra Award for the year 2015, conferred by the Committee of the Princess Srinagarindra Award Foundation under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn due to her great contribution to the development and advancement on nursing and midwifery services.
The Award was established in the year 2000 in recognition of the Centenary Birthday Anniversary of Her Royal Highness The Late Princess Srinagarindra in recognition of her exemplary contribution toward progress and advancement in the field of Nursing and Social Services.
Dr Ndlovu has made significant contributions to the development and advancement of nursing and midwifery services that has impacted positively on the lives of people within Zimbabwe and the East, Central and Southern Africa Region.
Ambassador Danvivathana explained that the annual award is conferred on one nominee from candidates in over 100 countries, and this award is a special acknowledgement for Dr. Ndlovu’s life’s work.
The Award consists of a slough, a certficate and monetary prize.
