Filipino Designers at the Philippine Embassy

The United Arab Emirates is home to many top designers who are widely known across the globe. The designers added to the UAE‘s popularity when it comes to fashion and trend which is one of the reasons why the country respectfully gained influential spot in the fashion world bringing with them their rich Filipino culture and craftsmanship.

Three of the top Filipino fashion designers visited the Philippine Embassy for a lunch reception hosted by Ambassador Constancio R. Vingno Jr. and Madame Yoko Ramos-Vingno, the Chairman of the Philippine Ladies Circle Abu Dhabi.

The reception was initiated to recognize and to show appreciation for the unwavering support of the designers during the past events in line with the Philippine National Day.

 

 

 

 

 

Among the designers were Aldwin “Jlo” Ornopia, Allen Villena and Ruben Santos. Jlo Ornopia designed and created the fabulous gown of Mrs. Yoko Ramos-Vingno during the Diplomatic Reception held at the Intercontinental Hotel Abu Dhabi. During the luncheon meeting, the designers committed to collaborate and to give their full support to the future projects and events of the Philippine Ladies Circle. One of the objectives of the Philippine Ladies Circle is to showcase the art, culture and creativity of the Filipinos based in the UAE and in our home country.
