Data Acquisition Design of Sri Lanka proudly sponsors ‘ INCO 2016'

INCO 2016 is one of the largest industrial exhibition and trade fairs in Sri Lanka drawing a large number of attendees from Sri Lanka and top investment companies from countries such as India, UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Bangladesh and China. INCO connects buyers, suppliers, services and products and provides a key forum to shape the future of the industry through networking. This year INCO 2016 exhibition was proudly supported by its principal sponsor, Data Acquisition Design Private Limited of Sri Lanka.

On this occasion, the Chief Guest at the industrial exhibition, Sri Lankan Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka graced the INCO 2016 annual Industrial & Trade Exhibition on 26th June 2016 held at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre.

The three day INCO 2016 exhibition collectively exceeded more than 300 stalls and there were all sorts of visitors weaving through the different stalls. On behalf of the principal sponsor of INCO 2016 the DATA Acquisition Design Ltd of Sri Lanka, Dr Konesh Vel and Mr. Suren Stembo welcomed the chief guest Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka Sri Lankan Minister of Megapolis and Western Development  to the company stall.

Among the distinguished guests invited by the principal sponsor were Mr Mayer, Business Partner of  MEYER Industrie Electronic GmbH Germany and Mr Samir Kaji , chairperson Selec Controls Pvt Ltd, of  India.

Data Acquisition Design Limited, (www.dataad.co.uk )opened  the global headquarters facility in  Middlesex United Kingdom, in 1994. Reliability is commonly associated with the quality of equipment. With over twenty years of experience Data Acquisition Design Limited, has been supplying globally accurate reliable equipment and transfer out instrumentation in the  field of industrial  automation. Data Acquisition Design Limited, is a major licensing company, developing products  for worldwide brands. The company has several best-selling brands, AB, Siemens, Lenze, Telemecanique, B&R and a few others which are sold worldwide. After several years, and many months of planning, DATA Acquisition Design passed another milestone in 2003 when it opened its second office in Sri Lanka.

Dr Konesh Vel  is also the Chairman  of DATA Acquisition Design United Kingdom . He is a non-executive director of several international companies, and currently serves on the board of directors of MEYER Industrie-Electronic GmbH of Germany
After the successful conclusion of the INCO 2016 industrial exhibition, The Diplomatic Society Global Editor, Srimal Fernando sat for a face to face interview with the directors of the INCO 2016 principal sponsor, Data Acquisition Design Private Limited of Sri Lanka and United Kingdom.  

Answering a few questions carefully and thoughtfully, Dr Konesh  Vel  said “We started with zero staff and zero customers. Today we have a network across the country. Apart from our operations in UK and Sri Lanka, we   have business collaborations in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, China, and in India’s financial and commercial centre Mumbai. We partner with some of the most innovative firms in the world .We are proud to partner with Selec Controls Private Limited of India."

Dr Konesh Vel knows success means staying ahead and thinking outside of the box with thoughtful and strategic planning. In addition Data Acquisition Design Private Limited has prioritized an Africa expansion plan.

We think there is huge potential in Africa. We have planned to expand our services to African countries. As part of our company strategy we are planning to enter Kenya. Having our  headquarters in the United Kingdom, we offer a range of services to South Africans. We value having business collaboration in Durban said the Chairman of DATA Acquisition Design.

The past ten years have been transformational for the company in Sri Lanka. DATA Acquisition Design (PVT) Ltd Sri Lanka won wide-ranging accolades. Recently the company in Sri Lanka won the National Engineering and Technology Award Techno Sri Lanka and had been an INCO award winner for several years.  
Director Mr. Suren Stembo, in charge of DATA Acquisition Design (PVT) Ltd Sri Lanka spoke with The Diplomatic Society at the roundtable chaired by Dr Konesh Veil about the company outlook for Sri Lanka and the emergence of the company.

“We Sri Lankans lacked something in automation knowledge. We have helped many Sri Lankans in automation.  Our country is capable of making its own machines.
