Senior Pakistani Officials Visit South Africa

2 December 2015

A delegation comprising senior officials from the National Management College, Lahore, Pakistan, visited South Africa from 27 November-02 December, 2015.

During the visit the delegation held detailed meetings and briefing sessions in both the South African public and the private sectors. The delegation exchanged views and shared knowledge on public policy formulation, socio-economic development, diplomatic processes and external relations.

The officials of both Pakistan and South Africa also briefed each other on the respective foreign policies and regional dynamics.

The Head of Pakistan the delegation Mr. Shafiq Hussain Bukhari expressed gratitude to the High Commission of Pakistan in Pretoria for organizing “such an informative and productive visit to the beautiful and friendly country of South Africa.” Speaking during a dinner hosted by him, the High Commissioner, inter alia, expressed complete satisfaction over the steady pace of cementing ties between Pakistan and South Africa in diverse fields. Emphasizing the need of frequent exchanges, he stated that visits from public and private sectors from both the countries are essential in envisioning future bilateral cooperation especially in the economic and trade domains.
