Embassy of Suriname hands over gifts

Women's month is celebrated on 9 August in South Africa and August is commemorated as Women's month.

The Embassy of Suriname in Pretoria, recognising the important role played by women in society, visited the Hercules Clinic in Pretoria North on 17 September 2015 to donate hampers for mother and childcare.

Ambassador of Suriname, Prof. Dr. Wilfried R. Roseval, the First Secretary Consular Affairs, Mrs. Lucil Drielinger- Fernandes and two local employees, namely Mrs. Sina Maria Mnguni and Mr. Josias Maribeng were present at the handover ceremony. The logistical and substantive preparation of this visit was successfully monitored by the First Secretary, Mrs. C. Wijnhard- Pique with the assistance of the local employees.

 

 

 

The delegation from the Embassy of Suriname was received by Mrs. Delia Mathibe, the Functional Head of the Organization and Mrs. Thandi Ndlovu, a nurse at the clinic.

   

The delegation was given a full tour of the hospital and introduced to all the staff members.

Ambassador Roseval personally handed out the gift parcels and wished the women lots of strength and love. He emphasized the importance of being healthy and happy as a parent, as this will undoubtedly reflect in the children's lives.
