Czech Development Cooperation Supplies Tshegofatsong Special School in Mamelodi with Well and Materials for Occupational Therapy

Czech Ambassador Blanka Fajkusová, in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa, on September 11, 2015 officially opened a well for watering the school garden at the Tshegofatsong Special School, that was built in the framework of a Czech Development project. She also handed over tools, which will be used for occupational therapy and skills training for students with special needs.

Tshegofatsong Special School is the only facility of its kind in Mamelodi near Pretoria and currently has over 400 students with various disabilities. The Czech Embassy in Pretoria is a long-standing partner of the school. The ZAR 100.000 project, implemented by the Pretoria Sunrise Rotary Club, received funding from the official development cooperation of the Czech Republic. In addition to the well, sewing machines, beads, tools for working with wood and other educational material were provided.
