The Gauteng Carnival took place on 24 September 2015 and saw 23000 participants sing and dance their way through the streets of Tshwane. It was a colourful celebration of diversity as many people lined the streets.

Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Timor-Leste in South Africa, Ms Josefina Tilman, was excited to participate and represent her country at the Carnival. She and her staff joined the parade behind the Timor Leste flag donning t-shirts reflecting their island nation.
