South Africa's National Day celebrated in Spain
Ambassador Smuts Ngonyama presided over a highly successful National Day ceremony on 16 June 2015, which was attended by around 300 guests from various sectors, including the Spanish Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Ignacio Ybañéz Rubio.
Ambassador Ngonyama presents Credentials
Ambassador Smuts Ngonyama presented his letters of credence on 11 March 2015 before Spanish King Felipe VI as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Africa to the Kingdom of Spain. During their meeting they both underscored the strategic importance of the South Africa-Spain bilateral relationship. They further emphasized the need for South Africa and Spain to deepen their collaboration in the multilateral institutions.
