Ambassador Tambo delivering her Welcoming Speech

On 29 July 2014, the Italy-South Africa Association for Friendship and Cooperation launched the Programme for 2014/2015.

The Programme will involve activities promoting parliamentary relations and trade and investment initiatives that will see the exchange of delegations between the two countries.

The event was attended by broad Italian society which included parliamentarians, media, business, and representatives of government and public institutions.

The Association was established in 2013 between South Africa (Embassy) and a selected bi-partisan Members of Italian Parliament in collaboration with the Italian Institute for Asia and the Mediterranean (ISIAMED) with a sole purpose of promoting and supporting partnerships in the fields of economics, culture and parliamentary relations.
