SA Ambassador to Myanmar discuss nation building

 

Ambassador Robina P Marks and Aung Min

 

Ambassador Robina P Marks (resident in Bangkok, Thailand and accredited to Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia) undertook an official visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar from 19-21 March 2014.  Ambassador Marks met with Aung Min, Chief Negotiator with the Non-State Armed Groups and Minister in the Office of President; the Speaker of Myanmar Union Parliament, U Thura Shwe Mann; and the Myanmar Peace Centre Executive Director, Mr. Kyaw Soe Hlaing.  Ambassador Marks also met with MP, Aung San Suu Kyi.  The objective of the visit was to engage on the Multi-Party Parliamentary Study Visit to South Africa on reconciliation and nation-building in South Africa.Photo: Ambassador Marks and U Aung Min, Chief Negotiator with the Non-State Armed Group and Minister in the Office of the President.
